Product FAQ's

How long can this battery power my home or devices?

With 40kWh of capacity, Rhino 4 can power a typical home for 1 to 2 days, depending on energy usage.
Example estimates:
2kW continuous load → up to 20 hours
5kW heavy usage (appliances, lights, electronics) → around 8 hours
Runtime varies based on your power draw, usage pattern, and whether solar or grid input is available for recharging.

Can this system be used completely off-grid?

Yes — this bundle is fully capable of off-grid operation. The Rhino 4 battery provides 40kWh of stored energy, while the Walrus V3 inverter delivers 10kW (12.5kVA) of continuous AC output, enough to power most homes or cabins independently.
The system can operate without any connection to the utility grid, powering essentials like air conditioning, refrigerators, pumps, tools, lights, and even EV chargers — depending on your usage and load. If paired with solar input via MPPTs or external charging equipment, it becomes a self-sustaining power system suitable for remote living, backup power, or energy independence.

Can I install this system myself, or do I need an electrician?

If you’ve never installed an off-grid power system before, we recommend hiring a qualified electrician to ensure safe and compliant installation.
That said, this bundle is designed for straightforward setup. The Walrus V3 inverter uses standard NEMA 14-50R and SS2-50P plug interfaces, and the Rhino 4 battery comes with Anderson connectors and pre-configured settings, making it a largely plug-and-play experience for experienced users or DIY enthusiasts.
An electrician can also help:
-Properly wire into your home’s AC panel or subpanel;
-Size breakers and cables correctly for 10kW loads;
-Optimize grounding and surge protection;
-Ensure code compliance (especially in permanent installations).
